CAPTAIN'S LOG: To Live Long & Prosper, I want to...
PUBLIC ART PROJECT Fundraiser based on 'Before I Die' Aspiration Wall with a Star Trek twist in Vulcan, Alberta!
We are a group of local volunteers, that would like your help to create 'a first of it's kind' participatory public art project for inspiration within our community and visitors, while celebrating the 50th Star Trek Anniversary, to be hosted in Vulcan on July 9-10, 2016 - Vul-Con 2016.
Boldly going were no wall has gone before, we are creating a large 'chalkboard' interactive mural, that invites people of all ages to reflect on their lives, goals, dreams, hopes and share their personal aspirations in a public space before 'beaming of this earth'.
Our planned starting date for this exciting unique project is July 6, 2016 - Canada day!
The wall space is located in the centre of town in Vulcan, Alberta (118 Centre Street, The Coulee" Pub & Grill) #VulcanAlberta is a great agricultural community a.k.a. The Star Trek Capital of Canada under the beautiful prairie skies of Southern Alberta. A small town with a population of just under 2000 residents, but big at heart!
We've done the legwork and with all permissions in place and with municipal development permit approved, WE ARE READY TO GET STARTED!
Follow the progress on our new Facebook page at Captain's Log: Vulcan's Aspiration Wall and share with family and friends to spread the magic of positivity!
