EVENT DATE: Aug 31, 2015

Throughout the month of August, our three Central Ohio Pure Barre studios (Grandview, Dublin, and New Albany) will offer several ways for you to get involved in the national Pure Give campaign! All proceeds will beneift Flying Horse Farms, which is located on 200 acres in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. We'll be hosting a variety of donation-only intensives, organizing a supply drive to provide FHF with the items they need for camps, and contributing a portion of retail sales every weekend.
Our biggest fundraising event will be "Pure Barre at the Farm". This donation-only Pure Barre class will be held outdoors on Saturday, August 15 (rain date August 22) at Columbus Growing Collective. CGC is an urban farm located in Italian Village at N. 4th Street and Neruda Drive. Class will begin at 10am in the grassy field near the farm. We are partnering with Alchemy Juice Bar and Cafe, who will be providing samples after class. Sign up for this class on Mindbody or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions. All you need to bring is a mat, optional weights, and camp supplies (supply lists are available in studios) or a donation to Flying Horse Farms! We can't wait to lift, tone, and burn with you at the farm... all for a great cause!
About Flying Horse Farms...
Flying Horse Farms is a magical, transformative camp that provides incredible experiences for children with serious illnesses. FHF camp hosts hundreds of children and families each year—free of charge! The children who attend camp at Flying Horse Farms have illnesses including cancer, heart conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, blood disorders, severe asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, kidney conditions and craniofacial anomalies. Every detail of the camp experience helps campers leave sickness behind while they’re there. Swimming, boating, fishing, canine therapy, high ropes, archery, and arts and crafts are just the beginning of the adventure at Flying Horse Farms. Each activity is designed to ensure every camper can participate and feel a sense of pride, accomplishment and freedom.
Flying Horse Farms is proud to have the support of eight Ohio children’s hospitals and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Campers receive first-rate care at our on-site health center, The WellNest, staffed 24/7 by medical professionals from children’s hospitals across Ohio and the Midwest.
Flying Horse Farms, which opened its gates to campers in 2010, is the first camp in the Midwest to become a member of the SeriousFun Children’s Network. Founded in 1988 by actor, philanthropist, and Ohio native, Paul Newman, the Network is a community of independently managed and financed camps and programs creating opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families. The Network has evolved from one camp in Connecticut to a growing global community touching the lives of 600,000 children and families from 50 countries, across five continents.
