BENEFITING: OPERATION FOR HOPE FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 02, 2014
Most people think only of physical abuse when they consider domestic violence. Yet, financial abuse happens in 98% of all cases of domestic violence and is one of the most powerful ways to keep a victim trapped. The HOPE Fund, a program of the Operation For HOPE Foundation provides micro-loans to domestic violence survivors to remove these economic barriers. The number one reason domestic violence survivors stay, leave or return to an abusive relationship is due to not having the financial resources to break free and start a new life.
Please give HOPE to a domestic violence survivor, donate to the HOPE Fund: $10 or $25, every dollar makes a difference in the life of another!
$10 provides a bus pass for a survivor and child for one day
$25 provides emergency food and or gas
$50 provides survivor/family member counseling or childcare
$100 provides transportation or financial guidance
$200 provides support for vehicle needs to maintain reliable transportation
$250 provides medical or emergency room visit
$300 provides obtaining or replacing important legal documents for employment
$400 provides a survivor relocation or work training
Our goal is to provide the needed financial resources to break cycles of violence that keep victims trapped in abusive relationships. With your help, we believe it’s a goal that is well within our reach!
