April 30, 2016
BENEFITING: LEBANON STEM FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Apr 30, 2016
I have always looked for ways to PUSH myself with crazy adventures in my life. Those adventures have been a great source of self-empowerment and confidence in the past. As I turn a new page in my life and focus, I now hope to use these opportunities to gather support to many great causes and organizations in my community. As I push myself with my sets of arms and legs in the great adventures of my individual life, I hope to find ways to advocate, encourage, gather support, and PUSH for all of us to support causes in our local communities.
In the first attempt at this, I will be hiking 100Km (62.2 miles) in one day in Washington D.C. This will be part of an organized event, onedayhike.org. I will start in Washington D.C at 3am on Saturday, April 30 and hopefully finish before midnight in Harper's Ferry, WV. I will be walking for my own self challenge, but also in hoping to raise some needed funds for a cause close to my heart. Lebanon STEM Foundation is a brand new non-profit that is trying to get off the ground to transform the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics educational and enrichment landscape in my hometown of Lebanon, IN.
I will also match all donations, up to $500, made to support this cause in this campaign leading up to my hike on Saturday, April 30.
