BENEFITING: Aids Resource Center Ohio, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 20, 2013
I’m writing today to share an exciting adventure that I hope you’ll join me on.
This year I am running the Columbus Marathon on October 20th, 2013. Not only do I plan on completing the entire 26.2 miles, but I will be adding 20 push-ups every mile for a total of 520 push-ups to raise money for AIDS Resource Center Ohio (ARC Ohio).
As most of you know, Karen (my wife) works at the new ARC Ohio Medical Center and Pharmacy and they are doing some pretty amazing work there for people living with HIV/AIDS. It’s the first medical facility of its kind integrating, primary care (go Karen!), specialized HIV/AIDS care, mental/behavioral health services, case management, and medication adherence counseling through their pharmacy. The place is pretty incredible and is truly making a difference in the lives of hundreds of Ohioans who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this type of comprehensive care.
I hope my extra physical effort and commitment equates to more dollars raised for a wonderful nonprofit. If you could please consider sponsoring my challenge it would mean a great deal to me and even more to those in the HIV/AIDS community. I’ve started a Crowdrise page where you can make a gift directly to ARC Ohio as part of this effort.
Please consider sponsoring a push-up or 3 or 520. Donate here or you can also send a check to ARC Ohio’s main office with my name in the memo line:
