Project Vietnam 2012: Moving Individual Perceptions of (Dis)ability in Vietnam
We are facilitating a 2-week program (from Aug 12-Aug 25 2012) that will gather 30 youth activists from overseas and from Vietnam to partner with people with disabilities in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) to write, sing, dance and use the arts to explore ways to change perceptions about (dis)ability.
Moreover, there will be lectures/discussions on the legacy of war that concerns people affected by Agent Orange in Vietnam and the United States.
We will also be organizing leadership workshops for Vietnamese students to inspire them to take the initiative and form their own post-SEALNet projects by the conclusion of Project Vietnam 2012.
