On June 12-13, 2015, my PwC colleagues and I will participate in the Ragnar.
What is the Ragnar? It's like a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant, but with a lot of physical activity! It is is the overnight running relay race that makes testing your limits a team sport. Teams are made up of 12 individuals; each individual runs 3 legs. The legs of the race vary in difficulty and distance, from 3-8 miles, allowing elite and novice runners to run together. Over 2 days and 1 night, our teams will run about 200 miles from Madison, WI to Chicago, IL. Pair that with crazy costumes, inside jokes, a great finish line party and unforgettable stories.
In recognition of children across the world who are forced to endure far greater obstacles than these, each team member is pledging to raise as much as possible in this 200 mile run for UNICEF Next Generation's Tap Project. All funds raised will support UNICEF programs working with schools and communities in more than 100 countries around the world to improve access to safe water, sanitation facilities and to promote safe hygiene practices.
Please support me in my goal!
