Plummer Worley School district has lost $1.69 million in state and federal revenue since 2007. Now because the supplemental levy failed in May, we have to take another $378,000 off the general fund budget for next year. This means we cannot maintain two full all-day kindergarten classes, we will have a four day school week next year, and there will be three furlough days for all staff. The board made the excruciating decision to cut district funding to the athletic program and keep staff in place. It is important to know the programs have not been eliminated, but are contingent upon finding additional funding.
