BENEFITING: Queens Centers for Progress
ORGANIZER: Queens Centers for Progress
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
To my friends and family,
I am at it again…
In 34 days, I will be running through the streets of New York City as a member of Team QCP. After the amazing experiences I have had running the Boston Marathon in 2012 and the Kenyan Half Marathon last year, I felt it was time to conquer (the second) greatest city in the world- NYC!
This race is particularly meaningful as I am raising money for a NYC Non Profit called Queens Centers for Progress (QCP). QCP provides support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. They cater to all ages and have a wonderful Early Childhood Education Center that helps students with a variety of disabilities mainstream, when possible, into the public school system.
I have spent my whole life in education. I have seen the joys and challenges of working with kids with Developmental Disabilities and their families. I would do anything to provide some support... including running a marathon.
I have a goal of $3000.00 dollars that I need to raise by October 15th. The money I am raising helps QCP by making it possible for them to provide their participants with an expanded range of programs and assistive devices that help further their mission; to maximize the range and quality of independent life choices available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
They can only do this with our help.
Please click on the DONATE button to the right to show your support. You can make a secure donation via credit card or if you prefer, you can mail checks made out to QCP to:
Queens Centers for Progress
81-15 164th Street
Jamaica, NY 11432
Attn: Marathon 2013- Dale Libkin
I know that through your support, not only will I make it across the finish line, I will also make it to my fundraising goal.
I thank you for your support once again.
