BENEFITING: Queens Centers for Progress
ORGANIZER: Queens Centers for Progress
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
In April 2012 I completed the Boston Marathon. Even in 87 degrees, I had a great experience from start to finish. I raised over $4,000 for Dana Farber Cancer Research and was surrounded by family and friends as I ran across the finish line.
I chose to be a bystander for this past Boston Marathon, as I was getting married just a few weeks later. We cheered on the runners less than a mile from the bombing sites. It was a scary day for everyone but I knew I had to sign up for the next marathon.
I am very excited to run my first NYC marathon and raise money for Queens Centers for Progress. My wife's family has been a part of QCP for generations, beginning with her great grandma and continuing with my mother-in-law. Cindy Heller has worked the past 35 years at QCP, enriching the lives of kids with developmental disabilities.
Please support me as I run 26.2 miles, raise money to help children, and remember those affected by the Boston Marathon.
Please support our team of dedicated runners who make a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities! As a member of Team QCP I have commited to raising $3500.00 that will go toward insuring that individuals who participate in QCP's programs continue to receive the best care, best training and can live the best quality of life possible.
