Rabbit Hole Gallery and Community Arts Center
Organized by: Julianna Rodriguez
Rabbit Hole Gallery is a community-driven project that showcases local artists and vendors alike in an effort to promote their work in exchange for providing workshops and classes to the community, free of charge. This will be New Jersey's first premier, interactive art gallery that is made for the people, by the people. Imagine a space bursting with color and energy, where families and friends can come together and create, while appreciating the work of their neighbors and peers. A space where the public can learn from professional artists, all at no costs to them. Art programs are dwindling in the area and school districts and we are doing a disservice to future generations by not providing creative outlets for their imaginations and talents. This space will keep our kids' heads out of the televisions and tablets, and back into their own minds where the possibilities are endless. During the day, Rabbit Hole is an open classroom and thought-provoking gallery. And in the evening, a flea-market-style bazaar hosted completely by local vendors, giving them an opportunity to sell their food, furniture, crafts, services, and/or art. This bazaar will allow artists of all mediums to convene, network, and unite in their love of the arts. As a result, small, community businesses will flourish, and dreams of all sizes can be realized.
