BENEFITING: CHOLANGIOCARCINOMA FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare but deadly form of cancer with very little recognition or awareness. Conventional cancer treatments remain ineffective against Cholangiocarcinoma, and most people diagnosed with advanced disease have less than a 5% chance of surviving at least five years. This cancer of the bile duct became a very scary reality for the Reidy family when my Uncle Matt Reidy was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma at the age of 47.
Matt Reidy has endured an intense battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. Despite being given a very short amount of time to live, he has fought against all odds to beat his diagnosis and inspire those around him with his tenacity for life. My 26.2 miles through New York City will be celebration of this life we have together, as well as a chance for my family to pay it forward.
Please help the Reidy family in paying it forward by raising money for a C.U.R.E.(Collaboration, Understanding, Research, and Education) for Cholangiocarcinoma. With your help, we hope to enhance awareness and recognition of bile duct cancer, as well as raise critical funds for research, outreach and education to serve all those affected by Cholangiocarcinoma.
For a great cause and my even greater uncle, please donate today. For more information, visit http://cholangiocarcinoma.org/
