Leadville Trail 100 Run
EVENT DATE: Aug 18, 2012
The legendary "Race Across The Sky" 100-mile Run is where it all started 29 years ago. This is is. The race where legends are created - and limits are tested. One hundred miles of extreme Colorado Rockies terrain - from elevations of 9,200 to 12,600 feet. You will give the mountain respect, and earn it from all.
The 100-mile out-and-back course is in the midst of the Colorado Rockies. Low point, 9,200 feet; high point is Hope Pass, 12,600 feet. Majority is on forest trails with some mountain roads.
For 2012, the Leadville Trail 100 Run is reaching out to the entire community in an effort to raise awareness and money for charity. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our runners, volunteers and supporters get involved and help make a difference.
The Leadville Trail 100 Run has partnered with CrowdRise to encourage the entire community to unite and fundraise for their favorite charities in 2013. Just imagine the impact the entire community can have when harnessed to give back in a fun and compelling way!
