BENEFITING: American Red Cross
EVENT DATE: Nov 04, 2012
New York City over the years has given me plenty. Central Park has seen my children grow up on its swings with the mini zoo providing them with endless hours of laughter and delight. For me the park has been like a selfless parent, unconditionally providing me with shelter and haven for all my workouts in all seasons over the years.
Five New York city Marathons have made me a tougher runner and thereby a more resilient human being. Every one of those five finish lines have blessed me with special and timely messages and lessons. NYC 2009 along with all the New Yorkers on the course supporting and cheering me on blessed me with my personal best time in the marathon distance. To this day, that remains my best race and time.
So, this year going into my sixth NYC marathon, I have decided to "RACE FOR HELP" Its TIME TO GIVE BACK TO NEW YORK AND NEW YORKERS!
I am sure that many of you have considered donating or contributing to the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. I know this is short notice, but if you have yet to make a personal charitable contribution to the relief effort, please consider making a donation to support my run. I will be donating all proceeds to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief.
The Red Cross has a minimum contribution tab of 10 dollars. Please remember that it is not the amount but your thoughts and gesture that is important. THANK YOU in advance for your kindness and compassion.
