BENEFITING: THE MAYORS FUND TO ADVANCE NEW YORK CITY
EVENT DATE: Nov 11, 2012
Let's see if we can create something good out of this Wittenberg/Bloomberg s#!tshow we all just witnessed. In lieu of the cancelled NYC Marathon, I will be running a marathon next weekend and would like to dedicate it to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy. I am running the Harrisburg Pennsylvania marathon on November 11th 2012. I don't even know where Harrisburg Pennsylvania is, currently, but rest assured I will find out and get there by next weekend. I have already booked a car and a hotel. As of when I signed up it had only 1,100 people running it, so it is about as far from the raucous energizing spectacle of the New York City Marathon as you can get. Large swathes of the race will undoubtedly be silent and without supporters. During these lonely miles it would provide a huge mental boost to know that I was benefitting others less fortunate than me. Please donate to my Sandy Hurricane Relief fund and be my remote support crew. If you can't donate or have already done so privately as I have, please feel free to like or share my link instead with your friends. Thanks for reading my message. I'll let you know how it goes.
All donations go directly to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City's Hurricane Sandy Relief fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that you can read about here: http://www.nyc.gov/html/fund/html/home/home.shtml
