BENEFITING: MITCHELLS PLACE INC
One of the most frustrating things as a doctor was not being able to figure out what was wrong with my own son. Temper tantrums, daily disruptions and not being able to go out and about were all daily occurrances for over a year. PJ and I felt like Charlie was trying to tell us something but he just could not communicate to us in a manner we could understand. It was a very tough time for our family.
At his 36 month check up his pediatrican expressed concern and we were referred to Mitchell's Place, hands-down one of the greatest blessings to our family. After a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Charlie is now getting the care and attention he needs and he is thriving, having fun and finally having a chance to be a carefree little boy. Day by day, things get more "normal" and we are starting to cope more effectively with ASD and incorporate it into our daily lives. God has taught us the virtue of patience through all this, and for that we are grateful. I am running the Mercedes Half Marathon to support Charlie and our new friends at Mitchell's Place. Please consider supporting too!
