BENEFITING: OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
EVENT: Oklahoma City Marathon 2013
EVENT DATE: Apr 28, 2013
18 years ago, a senseless attack was committed on US soil right here in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma City National Memorial a key part of Oklahoma City's downtown history and culture. And the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is important ongoing tribute -- not only to the 168 lives that were lost on April 19, 1995 when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was bombed, but also to the spirit in each of us to overcome adversity with the power of unity, purpose and drive.
In 2012 I went from a couch potato to a marathoner completing my very first marathon this past November. Now, in 2013, my goal is to run two Oklahoma marathons. Would you join with me in my goal, and sponsor a small donation to the OKC National Memorial as a show of your support? Your donation will ensure that the memorial site and the lives it commemorates will be preserved and available for many years to come.
