Rachael's Global Impact: Leaving My Mark Doing What I Love
Organized by: Rachael Bavaro
Receiving a quality education is something that everyone deserves. As the saying goes, if you love what you do, you'll never have to work another day in your life. I would like to attend Arcadia University to study Global Media and hope to eventually use the art of film to make a positive impact on others.
As a cashier, I get to talk to many people, each one different from another. I try to learn something new about something or someone when I meet them. We are all different, but we have two things in common: we are human, and we all have a story.
I find beauty in things that people tend to overlook. I believe there is immense beauty in unity. When we as individuals can come together as one, we can accomplish anything. A movie is a work of art. Making a film requires hundreds of people to work collaboratively day and night to perfect every costume, character, and scene. However, what these hundreds of people are working on is something that will be seen by thousands, and will touch the hearts of many. I want to be a film director - an Oscar winning one. There are not nearly enough women in the film industry, and I want to be a part of that revolution. Arcadia’s Global Media program is distinct and it will help me distinguish myself from others studying film. The world is not looking for someone who can fit in. The world is looking for someone who stands out.
Your donation would help make it possible for me to gain the global perspective I need in order to make the impact that I wish to make upon the world.
