I'm spending this summer biking around New England to promote the social movement for climate change and I would love your support! The program I am doing is called Climate Summer. Run by an organization called Better Future Project, its mission is to build leadership in college students to solve the climate change crisis. During the two and a half month experience, I will bike 1200 miles and learn valuable skills to affect an issue very important to me. Climate change is affecting more people than we realize. I hope to my show people how we can live without fossil fuels and encourage them to join the movement this summer. The two main campaigns we will support are Governor Patrick's Climate Legacy Campaign in Massachusetts and 350 Maine's campaign against tar sands. My goal for the fundraiser is $750 and this money will go towards funding my ride as well as ensuring that the program continues every year. You can follow my journey this summer by reading the blog http://climatesummer.net/blog/ or follow me on twitter @raquelll3. Thank you all so much and have a great, fossil fuel free summer!
