BENEFITING: Pueblo A Pueblo
•I am accompanying Pueblo a Pueblo’s Executive Board on their yearly retreat to Guatemala
• Pueblo a Pueblo is a non-profit that aims to help improve the health, education, and food security of families in indigenous and rural communities in Latin America
•My mother taught me to never show up empty handed, so it’s time to fundraise!
Here’s the deal:
When I moved to DC, I met a Pueblo a Pueblo executive board member. She was aware of my interests in the non-profit sector and my passion for supporting impoverished communities in the developing world, so she quickly introduced me to Pueblo a Pueblo’s work with the indigenous communities in Guatemala. As she encouraged me to learn about the organization and Guatemala’s tragic history, she said, “One day, you’ll travel to Guatemala.”
Well, ‘one day’ came sooner rather than later when my new friend asked me to be her guest on Pueblo a Pueblo’s Annual Executive Board Retreat – an offer I could not refuse. On February 12th, I’ll be landing in Guatemala City and before then I'm aiming to raise $1,000 to support the life-changing projects sponsored by Pueblo a Pueblo that I'll witness first hand. Time is ticking and I'm racing against the clock to meet my fundraising objective. Needless to say, I need your help to accomplish my goal.
I would love for you to donate to my race to fundraise for Pueblo a Pueblo (#Rachelsrace). Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
Here’s a Positive Twist:
I'm in the midst of completing a 30-day yoga challenge (read my blog post). From here on, if you donate $25 to Pueblo a Pueblo, you can select a date and my yoga practice will be dedicated to you. You will be the focus of my practice and I will send you positive vibes throughout the1 1/2-hour class. I'll let you know the time of the practice, so you can be fully aware of the positive energy heading your way! My positive thoughts are up for grabs, so donate while space is available – so much great karma will be coming through your transaction!!
