Tri-ing 4 Trouble
THE STORY:
My Grandma, Kathryn Bayha was diagnosed with colon cancer in January 2014 and passed away on April 9th, 2014. She was a spunky, loving, and an amazing person. Her nickname was Trouble... never afraid to speak her mind, sassy at best. My goal is to raise enough money for a donation in her honor. I will be doing the Westchester Triathlon in September in remembrance of her because Nanny K loved Rye beach and would often take walks down there. I know she will be there watching over me the day of the event. I want to raise awarness for colon cancer and help spread the word about how important it is to get a regular check up. Catching the cancer early as possible makes all the difference in the treatment. Even if this fundraiser makes one person go get a check up it will mean the world to me.
