BENEFITING: Tomorrows Youth Organization
The Sahara Race (Egypt) 2011 is approximately 250 kilometers / 156 miles in total. The race takes place in the Valley of the Whales, known by locals as Wadi El-Hitan and by scientists as the Zeuglodon Valley. The race is part of the 4 Deserts, named by TIME magazine as one of the Top 10 Endurance Competitions in the world.
I am running to raise money for Tomorrow's Youth Organization (TYO), an amazing organization with smart and passionate people who work in disadvantaged areas of the Middle East, enabling children, youth and parents to realize their potential as healthy, active and responsible family and community members. You can learn more about their education and economic development programs by visiting their blog or joining their community on Facebook.
I welcome you, encourage you, implore you to donate for this worthy cause. And I will take any suggestions for updates on my end that would be useful to you -- about my training, the race, my blog, life in general, metaphysics ... whatever I can do to entertain you :)
