I am running specifically for my cousin Ali, who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor in October at 24 years old. She is a badass, she is running this 200mi relay with me (and 10 others), and you can hear her story in her own words here: https://alisarmy.wordpress.com/2016/01/14/how-that-c-word-rocked-my-world/
This November 4-5th, a group of awesome folks will be running the Ragnar Relay in Napa Valley to support the young adult cancer community to Get Busy Living in the face of cancer. With the fragrance of wine country in the air, the sun on their shoulders, and friends at their side, they will run the 200-mile-ish course from San Francisco to Napa. Not only will they raise awareness for young adult cancer through their efforts, they will raise transformative funds for Stupid Cancer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that comprehensively addresses young adult cancer through advocacy, research, support, outreach, awareness, mobile health, and social media. Stupid Cancer's innovative, award-winning and evidence-based programs and services serve as a global bullhorn to propel the young adult cancer movement forward.
