THE STORY:

VISIT THE BELOW PAGES TO MEET OUR #AR13 Virginia TEAM PREPARING TO HUSSLE TO THE HARBOR !!!

Five years ago, I met an extraordinary family.  Little did I know, this family would change my life in so many positive ways.  See, within this Rossiter family there is a little girl, who is an Angel!  Her name is Ainsley, and she has the power to touch the hearts of all those she meets.  Ainsley has a rare, terminal illness.  She has inspired the work of charity- to give everyone the opportunity to experience endurance events, and to spread the awareness of inclusion.  What a beautiful and powerful message this has been on my life!

For many years, I was the energetic cheerleader on the sidelines, supporting those around me, holding signs and giving big hugs and high fives after the events.  I did some running, but never felt like I could handle the “big” events.  I’ve since realized that I’ve been called to do more.  Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better.  Then when you know better, do better.”  I know at this point in my life, I can do more to give back.  I’ve observed and now it’s time to serve.

When I came to understand that there are people who cannot run great distances, and I have the privilege to be their legs, there’s nothing in the world that would stop me from giving my all.  My first race helping to push Ainsley was with her sister, Briley, in my elementary school’s 5k.  It was such an emotional and challenging experience that I will never forget.  I want to give my legs as often as I can.

So on September 12 and 13, I will help other Ainsley Raganarians run 199.0 miles from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington, D.C.  Please support our cause, and help me reach my goal.  No amount is too small!  Remember, big things often have small beginnings.
