Ragnar for a Reason: Running Over Lymphoma
Organized by: Nate Hanson
EVENT DATE Nov 07, 2015
What is a Ragnar Relay?
Ragnar Relay's are running races that are laid out as a 200(ish) mile course. This course is run by a team that is typically made up of 6-12 runners. Those 6-12 runners take turns running different legs of the course while the rest of the team rides along in a van in support of their teammates. These runners will continue to take turns running all thru the day and night until they have reached the finish line. The course that we will be running in honor of Corey will start in Chattanooga, TN and end in Nashville, TN.
Why are we running?
This year we are running in honor of our longtime friend and teammate Corey Hietapelto. Most recently, Corey was a member of our 2014 Great River Relay team. He is also an avid soccer player, hunter, and skier. This past month, at the age of 24, Corey was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Money raised for this event will go to the Hietapelto's to help aid in whatever way needed, whether that be medical expenses, transportation, etc., as well as a few fee's for the race itself. Please help us reach our goal and make a donation.
