THE STORY:

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”

- Helen Keller

For the past 25 years the Rainforest Alliance has held the belief that by working together, we can solve the world’s most pressing social and environmental problems facing our planet. From protecting threatened forests and species to improving the livelihoods of farmers, foresters and tourism operators around the world, together we are creating a more sustainable planet.

By working together to achieve our goals, as Helen Keller famously said, we can do so much. Join Team Rainforest today and invite your friends, family and co-workers to make a donation to the Rainforest Alliance—your efforts will make a world of difference!

Take a minute today to protect our planet.

Thank you,

The Membership Team

PS: Raise $50 on Team Rainforest and we will send you a plush Red Eyed Tree Frog doll. The Red Eyed Tree Frog, when seen in the wild, is a sign of a healthy forest and ecosystem.

I was lucky enough to see the Golden Toad in Costa Rica in the 1980's while on a trip there with the Missouri Botanical Garden. At the time, there were only a few males in captivity in the Reserva Biológica Bosque Nuboso Monteverde (Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve). None have been sighted in the wild since and the species is presumed extinct. So, in memory of the Golden Toad, I am dedicating this contribution! 4 years ago
