BENEFITING: Children's Hospital
THE STORY:
As many of you know, when I get passionate about something, I go all in. And as much as I can, I'll go far above. The Jazz Half Marathon & 5k is partnering with Children's Hospital to raise money for their oncology and hematology patients to fight childhood cancer. The suggested goal for a runner in this race is $250. I'd like to raise a little more than that, so I set the goal at $2,500.00. Am I crazy? Yes. Is *this* crazy? No! So here's why I'm doing this: There are a lot of kids who can go though the hospital, and there's a lot of little ones who aren't so healthy. And they need a lot of help. They want the gift of being able to grow up, and if I can help give that gift while doing something I love (running), then I'm all about it. Children's provides comprehensive medical care for kids from birth, up to 21 years. In 2016, Children's Hospital recorded patient visits from 62 of the 64 parishes in Louisiana, 39 states and 2 foreign countries. In all, the hospital recorded 157,275 patient visits. (from chnola.org/AboutCHNOLA) Any amount helps, and I appreciate you. The kids appreciate it even more. Thank you.
