Raise A Tree Foundation
Organized by: Michael Souza
The Raise A Tree foundation started as simply an idea. An idea that if their was some way, anything I could do the contribute to this world how would I do it? After taking a walk outside look at the beauty of this earth; the sky's, trees, grass and even feeling the air in my face I came to realize the solution to impact this world had been right there in front of me. The most basic thing we need to survive, oxygen. One tree can provide 260lbs of oxygen a year on average, that's enough to sustain two adults indefinitely. With your charitable donation I will be able to buy plots of land throughout the rural parts of the United States and plant a variety of oxygen rich trees. These trees include poplar, oak and maple. The land plots being purchased will be primarily from unoccupied territory and located in UT, Kentucky, Tenesse, Florida, Idaho, Texas. I estimate if I can raise $13,000 I will be able to plant 2 acres of trees located in each state above ultimately producing 216 adults oxygen for a lifetime. Not only do these trees produce oxygen but they also consume Carbon Dioxide which will help reduce smog levels and keep our atmosphere clean. This may not effect you personally but think 50 years from now, 100 years or even 300 years from now. Without the persistent effort of replacing lost trees with new ones to consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen smog levels will grow out of control, making breathing more difficult and making the atmosphere more prone to creating heat, tainting water and allowing items in orbit to rush toward earth without deteriorating. Trees are of the upmost importance and even if you don't give to this cause, simply purchase a plant and let it grow in your yard. Allow the harm we cause earth to be tamed by our actions of helping our planet live. We only have one earth to live in and pass down for generations to come, let's make sure it stays suitable and healthy for our families and for all.
