The University of Central Florida's Raising Hope team is currently working with Kids Beating Cancer to raise money for an extraordinary program. The Make it “My Room” program provides children a "safe, fun, place" during their marrow or blood stem cell transplant at the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center at Florida Hospital for Children. A customized, themed hospital room is done according to each child’s decorating preferences, such as Disney Princess, Toy Story or Orlando Magic with comforters, pillows, posters, games, and toys corresponding with the theme and other age appropriate items. For each $500 raised, one room will be made-over for a deserving child.
In the last 21 years, Kids Beating Cancer has served over 8,000 of Central Florida's sickest children. To learn more about Kids Beating Cancer, please visit http://kidsbeatingcancer.com/
