Ramona's Mission Trip to South Africa
Organized by: R S
“Remember there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.”
I have been offered an opportunity to join a Christian Mission Team and travel to East London, South Africa from July 29th to August 7th. Please join me in this mission to bring love, hope, and prayer to South Africa.
Our team will serve children infected or affected by AIDS and their families. These children continue to be exposed to indescribable horrors: violence, rape, murder, drug and alcohol abuse, lack of food and an unsafe place to live. 20% of the children are HIV positive and most of their families live below the poverty line.
Our Mission Team includes 10 pastors and supervisors from The Father’s Heart Ministries, a large nonprofit soup kitchen where I have been blessed to volunteer for the past 4 years. This is the second year The Father’s Heart Ministries has served in South Africa. While in East London, our team will be working with First City Baptist Church, Hope Schools, and Sophumelela Centre. Hope Schools’ mission is to provide excellent education and holistic care to these children throughout their schooling years. Sophumelela Center is building stronger local communities for people affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS.
Please join me in this mission and let us make a positive impact on the ones who need it the most! Please note 100% of the donations raised will be used towards travel expenses and directly supporting those in need.
