Randolph-Macon College field hockey team will be participating in the nationwide Play 4 the Cure campaign as they take on conference foe, Eastern Mennonite University on October 26, 2015, at the R-MC field hockey field at 4:00 p.m. (this is a change from our originally schedueld game on October 3, 2015, due to inclement weather) The team is Playing 4 all families that have been affected by cancer. Join them as they POWER CANCER RESEARCH THROUGH TEAMWORK. Come out and show your support of this noble cause!
The team hopes to raise $250.00 to support the National Foundation for Cancer Research through donations and support of parents, spectators and fans.
Members of the team have pledged to make a difference and in addition to their donations, will be wearing pink items during the contest to show support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As the official sports fundraising platform of the National Foundation for Cancer Research, Play4 The Cure asks individual athletes and teams “Who do you Play 4?” To answer our own question: It’s not just about one color ribbon, we play for ALL CANCERS, ALL COLORS, ALL SPORTS.
We have all been affected by cancer in some way or other or know those who have been. Make a decision to Play4 them. Make a decision to help NFCR pave the way to finding a cure. Together, playing for ALL CANCERS, ALL COLORS and through ALL SPORTS, we will make a difference.
Donations can be made at the game on October 3, 2015 or go to
