It's tough when your state is always used as a measuring stick...that iceberg is as big as 3 Rhode Islands...that county is as big as 6 Rhode Islands...how many Rhode Islands would fit in this area...
Everyone thinks you live is such a small state...and well, we do! But, within our tiny borders lies thousands of acres of forest, miles of coastline, and a rich diversity of natural habitats.
If we are to save Rhode Island and its remaining natural habitat, we need to start educating the next generation of voters and leaders about the importance of nature and why it needs to be protected.
That's why we run summer nature camp eery year since 1950. It provides children the opportunity to get outside, hike in forests, learn about nature and one day be the leaders who will work to protect it.
Unfortunately, Rhode Island has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, jobs are leaving our state and leaving many families struggling to get by. Summer Camp is not on their list of necessities.
But you could make it possible for kids to go to nature camp. Make a donation and lets change 20 child's lives.
After all, there's nothing more important than saving our planet... and these kids will be the ones to do it.
