Raul's Road to Recovery

Raul Diaz was born number 8 of 12 children. Him and his family came from Cuba in 1966. Raul did not have another choice but to work after school to help his family as they were so many. Raul has always been a hard working humble man. He has never been a drinker, or a smoker, or never done any type of dugs. He was taken to a specialists in Miami where he was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency which is an inherited disorder that causes liver disease. With That being said he has liver damage and it was determined that he would have to undergo a Liver Transplant in order to live. In preparation for the Transplant his Kidneys have now started to fail. He is currently undergoing Dialysis. He has been on leave from his job of 30 years since March of 2015. He isn't getting paid to be on leave and his insurance payments monthly of $600.00 are being accumulated and will eventually have to be paid. His wife has not been able to work because she has been caring for him. He was brought to Jackson Memorial in Miami, Florida to be cared for by the best Liver and Kidney specialists available. Since his home is in Tampa, Florida his wife is incurring expenses unforeseen such as parking in the hospital, lodging,food, copays, etc. We ask for your help to cover with all the expenses that the insurance will not cover, to assist him and his wife of 33 years so that they can make it through this unforeseen tragedy and Raul can fully recover without having to worry about copays or medicines insurances won't cover.
