Re-connect Worship Group
Organized by: Jacob Kovacs
Vision Re-Connect recognizes the need for fellowship and our vision is to be more like the early church in Acts. Broken down, this means to love one another as Jesus commanded us to in John 15:17. Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 2:32-35 depict a perfect picture of unity - something that Jesus prayed for all believers in John 17:20-21. In Ephesians 2:10, it says "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Jesus said in John 15:5 "“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Our desire is to do the good works God prepared in advance for us to do in Christ Jesus. Mission Re-Connect's mission is to encourage others toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25) in order to glorify God by being Jesus’ disciples and serving as a platform that provides opportunities for others to get involved, experience fellowship, and grow spiritually. What We Believe We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God. Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." We believe in one God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death (he died for us), in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His future return to this earth. We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Jesus said in John 14:16 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We believe that Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice, the ultimate expression of love - He laid down his life (John 10:18) for us so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
