THE STORY:

Rebecca Rusch wrote -

What is This All About? I'm taking part in a Women's Sports Foundation (WSF) fundraising face off with fellow female athletes to help raise $$ for their Travel & Training Fund. The Fund is a grant program that supports champion female athletes – like me – by providing financial assistance to cover needs associated with the expense of travel and training. Over the last three decades, WSF have awarded thousands of grants to teams and individual athletes and we’ve supported countless Olympic medals, World Championship wins and national titles.

I can recall TONS of times when having access to a program like this would have been life-changing.

This year, the WSF got 2x more applications than usual -- and in a perfect world, WSF would be able to fund every single qualified athlete who applied.  That's where this year's Face Off campaign comes in -- athletes working to support other athletes by raising funds to help female athletes who need our help -- the aim is to fund 30+ more athletes via the 2015 Face Off.

So help an athlete out and please chip in to my campaign!  Throw in a buck for every female in your life; for every daughter/wife/niece/neighbor you know who could use an advantage.  Every little bit can add up!  It can help support talented women get the training they need and transport them to important competitions.

If you donate, you might win some pretty sweet l prizes, e.g. electronics, an all-expenses paid trip to the 2016 Salute, exclusive tickets to entertainment and more.
