Rebecca's fight against cancer
Organized by: Daniel Wilson
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer several months ago. I am 22 years old and currenty a student in college, therefore, I cannot get a job. So I think this is the only way to help my mom to survive and improve the research of breast cancer at the same time. I would do anything, absolutely anything to help her. The helplessness I feel is sometimes overwhelming. Doctors are optimistic for my mom, But it's cancer. You never know. I even witnessed one of my favorite teachers passing away from cancer. She kept teaching us up until it was physically impossible for her. I watched someone that I care about deteriorate, and someday I'm going to have to watch the person I love the most go down that same road. And frankly, I'm not strong enough for that. I want my mom around because I want to be able to hug her and tell her how much I love her everyday. She deserves to have the experience of being a grandmother and watching her own children grow up. She's always had great appreciaton of live and learning. I only talked to a handful of people about this, but it's good to finally let it out. Even a small donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
