Rebuilding Effort in Ecuador
Organized by: Robert Nelson
As many know, a 7.8 earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador last weekend. This earthquake left many dead, injured, or with their homes completely destroyed. Many charities are well at work to attempt to help all those affected but it is nearly impossible to help everyone. I was a missionary in Ecuador for two years and have a vested interest in the well-being of these amazing people. I know of ten families that are in dire need of a place to live. The purpose of this is to raise enough money to construct modest wooden homes for these families so they have someplace to call home. Each of these homes cost roughly $800. The minimum wage in Ecuador is $300 a month. These families are in desperate need for help; they will not be able to afford this by themselves. I will personally deliver these funds to contractors in Ecuador so they can begin construction and immediately help these people affected by this natural disaster. One hundred percent of the funds will go towards the building of these new homes, none of it will be used for my personal expenses. I will also be bringing clothing and other supplies to help these people. These people are facing extreme poverty, your donation will be highly appreciated.
