Rebuilding a Home for the Curnutt's
Organized by: Brittany Baggott
On the morning of May 6th Jade Curnutt was asleep after working a night shift as a nurse. Meanwhile across the street her neighbor was taking advantage of the nice weather and doing some yard work when he noticed smoke and flames coming from the Curnutt home. Knowing Jade worked nights and was more than likely asleep he ran over and started pounding on the door while on the phone with 911, finally he was able to wake Jade up and get her out of the house minutes before the roof collapsed. Unfortunately they were not able to rescue their pet dog.
Finally the fire department arrived and despite their best efforts the house and everything in it were a complete loss.
Shortly there after her husband, Nick, and their five children, Cellina aged 16, Ian aged 15, Tatum aged 13, Cory aged 11 and Connor aged 8 arrived home to find that everything they owned and loved was gone.
Although they have home owners insurance it will take quite some time before they are able to recoup many of their losses such as clothing, shoes and basic necessities.
