Giving help and being healthy are two of my primary concerns as I move into my second half. When my longtime friend Jani in California invited me to join her on the 5 Boro Bike Tour I decided to go for it and to join a charity team. I chose Rebuilding Together NYC because I have volunteered in home repair trips with my church, Warner Memorial Presbyterian (www.warnermemorial.org) who worked on houses in Rockaway NJ. I’ve witnessed and experienced the transforming power of this work for both the homeowners and the volunteers. Let’s raise enough to help replace a roof for a homeowner through ReBuilding Together!

Rebuilding Together NYC (RT NYC) is a nonprofit organization that brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income New Yorkers. Together we transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing their communities, particularly for the elderly, disabled, families with children, veterans, and survivors of natural disasters. We also revitalize neighborhoods by renovating nonprofit community centers and providing security lighting. All our services are provided at no cost to our homeowners and community members.
