A PLACE OF PEACE's Fundraiser:

Recovery Home for Women

A Place of Peace Recovery Home for Women to open soon in Ventura.

A Place of Peace is now pleased to announce its embrace of a Home of Recovery for Women. A Place of Peace exists as an Interfaith Sanctuary and Wellness Center, a community within the community for the community - a Place of Peace to journey: emotionally, spiritually and personally.

Over the past four years, Founders of A Place of Peace, Teri and Doug Kierbel, were searching for a focus for their outreach, an avenue for the community’s expression of love where they might offer service into the Ventura area.

A young woman with years of dedication, experience, and expertise in the recovery field, Monique De La Cruz, recently came to A Place of Peace with her dream to offer women in the Ventura area a “Place” for healing their hearts and lives. She was searching for A Place of Peace for them.

Together they have joined forces to blend an off-site home where women will live, with a Sanctuary of Peace for the work to be done in their journey back to balance and wholeness.

Together now, in “their rightful place”, they share their dreams, they merge their energies, and their visions come together to create A Place of Peace Recovery Home for Women.

The One Year Program will offer a “Place” of safety and healing that will enable women to face life’s struggles as they move toward their freedom and wholeness. The resident treatment program will be a nurturing community environment. The clients will be treated with respect and dignity. The goal is comprehensive healing of mind, body and spirit. Graduates will become viable contributors in our community and give positive example and role modeling to those still struggling. They will raise up healthy families within a value system that is about wholeness and service. Their contributions to our community will be substantive, meaningful and long-lasting in that they will integrate their newly developed talents, skills and abilities into our society.

Won’t you please join in their efforts to extend your compassion and support to women and children in sincere need of your help. Please attend their Mixer on, Wednesday, April 4th at 6 for live music, guest speakers and an opportunity to sponsor and support this valuable work they offer. 805.794.9878. Tax Deductible Donations can be made by PayPal on their site or by check sent to A Place of Peace, 2021 Sperry Avenue #22, Ventura, California 93003
