Philly LOVEs NJ/NY, Hurricane Sandy Recovery Run
In the days that have passed since Hurricane Sandy, we have become aware of the far-reaching damage of this tragic superstorm. In the Philadelphia area, we have been truly lucky to have escaped severe damage from this storm but our hearts have broken as we have seen images and heard stories from our neighbors in New Jersey and New York.
As runners, we are resilient people, but we also understand the importance of recovery. Recovery & restoration are things which parts of New Jersey and New York are in desperate need of.
Which is why we are asking you to join with us in this Recovery Run to gather Philadelphia area runners and friends as we express our gratitude that our area did not experience major impact from this storm & to provide assistance towards restoration & recovery for our neighbors in NJ/NY who were impacted by this devastating storm.
This is not a race, just an opportunity to get together and make a difference.
