Dear Recycled Dog Rescue Community and dog lovers everywhere,
The Recycled Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to save abandoned and stray dogs from euthanasia. Over the years, we have saved the lives of over 700 dogs. In the last 6 months, we have grown our rescue operation with the help of our dedicated volunteers, and the support of personal and corporate donors. We now have reached our next big step, but we need your help getting there.
We are faced with the amazing opportunity of opening a brick-and-mortar adoption sanctuary on January 1, 2015. To this point, we have worked entirely through a network of foster volunteers to house our rescue dogs. Though we still believe that foster care is an important step in building trust and companionship with the dogs we take in, foster homes are sometimes not suited to give the best care possible. For example, sick dogs may need to be quarantined from other dogs, and pregnant dogs need to be in the care of experienced rescue volunteers. This is what brings us to the exciting new opportunity to sign a lease on a ½ acre property in an agriculturally-zoned area of Norco, California. This location would allow us to increase our capacity for rescue and offer quarantine and rehabilitative areas to adult dogs and litters. The location has wonderful indoor-outdoor living quarters for the dogs, with a giant yard for playtime and individual rooms for sleeping in packs or with littermates. This location also offers residential quarters for three of Recycled Dog Rescue’s primary volunteers, and once these volunteers move in, they will take financial responsibility for 100% of the property’s rent.
But for now, we need your help. We are requesting tax-deductible donations for our move-in deposit, for converting our rescue dog’s individual indoor living spaces into comfortable bedroom-type rooms, and for stocking our new brick-and-mortar facility with dog beds, dog food, vaccines, and microchips.
The opportunity to save more dogs exists, and with your tax-deductible contribution, we can operate at a level that we never have before. That means saving more lives, placing more dogs in forever homes, spaying and neutering more dogs, and taking more dogs off of the streets or from neglectful situations.
We have created different tiers of donor recognition, and if you help us secure this property, we will have physical dedications for our most charitable donors. On behalf of the Recycled Dog Rescue team, thank you for reading, and for your support in saving the lives of dogs in need, because at the Recycled Dog Rescue, we believe that second-hand animals make first class pets.
Very truly yours,
The Recycled Dog Rescue Team
