Brian Marcinczyk wrote -Hello everyone! As you may know, I am the Healthy Living Director at the Family Health & Wellness Branch of The Community YMCA in Red Bank, NJ. Part of my goal as the Healthy Living Director is to raise money for those in need around the community we serve. As a non-profit organization, we provide family's with an opportunity to participate in programs that other places may not allow them to, through financial assistance programs. All funds raised for these programs come through our Annual Campaign Fundraiser. During this, we as an Association spend countless hours making connections throughout the community, assessing the needs in our community, and hosting events to raise money. This year, myself and my Healthy Living staff will be hosting a Spin-a-thon to raise money for children in our community who want the opportunity to go to a summer camp, but cannot afford to do so. For every $500 raised, one child will be able to attend two weeks of summer camp at our branch. During camp, children will learn to swim, participate in sports they may not always get to, go on field trips their family may not be able to afford to do on their own, but most importantly, make friends who could potentially last a life time. Our Spin-a-Thon will take place on June 17, 2017 at the Family Health & Wellness Center in Red Bank from 7:00 am - 10:00 am. Our goal is to raise a total of $2500 and send five children to camp this summer. Anyone who knows me, knows reaching a goal is just the first step and exceeding the goal is what I really aim to accomplish. Your thoughtfulness and generosity, as always, is greatly appreciated and I am excited to make a difference in the community I serve on a daily basis!
