Redan, my very active and young(not even 2 years old) pup recently started limping. After taking her to the vet and having xrays done we were told that she has a tear in her back left knee that needs to be surgically repaired. As this is a serious injury, there are no other available options for treatment.
Since Redan was a malnourished puppy that had worms, and a compromised immune system, we have consistently been in and out of the vet. These monthly trips have already racked up over $1500 in vet bills.
Redan and I could really use the support of our friends and family to get her up and running again. Any little help would be greatly appreciated. If you'd prefer PayPal I set up a special account just for this. The email is firstname.lastname@example.org
I will also openly answer ANY questions you guys may have regarding the surgery, injury and anything else. Her instagram is Redan_red_nose and I'm also working in a facebook account for her.
Money raised outside of Crowdrise as of 6/10:
-Paypal: $130, Cash: $50
So this is an update on what's going on as of 6/11/15: Redan went to a second specialist on Thursday. He has done thousands of the TPLO procedure and feels very comfortable with this for Redan. This will be the vet that performs her surgery once we can get more help with paying. Unfortunately, he quoted us at a higher price than the first vet. We are looking at around $4500 now including post care costs. He really seems like he knows what he's doing so I feel fairly good about him as her surgeon moving forward. He agreed about the initial diagnosis of a partial tear.
