Support Relief Efforts for Hurricane Sandy
There is not much that I can say that hasn't been said about the devastation of Sandy. Yes, it is horrifying and the lives that were lost are precious. We, as a family of Americans and people, have lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands and friends. It is a time of grief, but it is also a time to help. There are still THOUSANDS who need our help!!
As of this moment, while I write this message to you personally, there are 3 million (twice the population of Hawaii, where I live) without power; there are thousands of people displaced from homes, and people who can not find their families and those important to them. Unfortunately, the death toll is 96 and counting. Amidst all this tragedy, we have to ask, "What can we do?"
My goal is to raise at least $500 on behalf of the American Red Cross, who will distribute the funds to food, shelter, clean drinking water, and other necessary services for our fellow humans.
Please, even ten dollars would help. Donation amounts are anonymous, although even just a few dollars could make all the difference in the world to just one victim of Hurricane Sandy. And if you are not able to donate, please consider joining me and starting a fundraising page! Every little bit helps. Mahalo.
P.s. I would be ecstatic for even a $1 donation, however the minimum donation for the crowdrise page is $10. Thanks for understanding!
