Many concerned friends have asked what they can do after Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines last weekend. Thank you for your concern.
Thankfully my parents and family in Bohol are OK. Power and water have been cut to the island since most of the power came from Leyte, a province that got hit by the storm.
They consider themselves fortunate that Yolanda did not cause that much damage.
Many of you have already contributed to my parents' relief effort in Bohol after the earthquake. Thank you so much for that! At this time, I don't know if Mom & Dad are planning to do another relief mission in Bohol since there are a LOT of unknowns right now.
BUT if you want to help with the typhoon relief effort NOW, I set this page up in case anyone wanted to do so. I don't know anyone personally that is in Leyte, except for a cousin-in-law and one of my dearest friend's father was from Tacloban, the city hardest hit by Yolanda.
The Red Cross is one of the organizations helping with the relief effort and already have "boots on the ground".
If you can help, please do so. Also, check to see if your company matches donations too!!
