THE STORY:

I am running as part of a relay team for the Hambletonian Marathon on October 20, 2013 to help raise money and awareness of RETT syndrome. It is a debilitating, neurological disorder that primarily targets young girls. Imagine you have a healthy child one day and then the next she is digressing from the milestones that she has achieved – not being able to speak, hold a cup or even play with a toy. Eva Fini is one of the kids that I am talking about. If you are lucky enough to meet her, you will understand just how extraordinary one child can be.
I have the honor of running this marathon to raise money for a potential cure not only for Eva, but for all of the RETT girls, including Teagan Greenlaw who is dear to my heart. I am asking you to support me, Eva, Teagan, and so many hopeful young girls to find a cure for RETT.

After running a half-marathon (well behind Jonathan), I am in awe of his commitment to run a marathon in support of a cure for Rett Syndrome. Go, Jon! 4 years ago
