Redemption Technology

Hi there! My name is Robert Mehling and I am the Executive Director of Redemption Technology, a non-profit dedicated to offering jobs skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century. In a practical sense? We help individuals with long periods of unemployment due to criminal charges, domestic violence and addiction.

A Story

Let me tell you a story about a woman named Maria. Maria is a single mom who has not had an easy life. After a few stumbles, she was ready to turn her life around and decided that she needed to move in a positive direction. Maria had a problem that was affecting her ability to turn her life around, she had received a felony conviction for drugs many years before and finding a job was now going to be more difficult.

That’s where Redemption Technology comes in, at Redemption, Maria can get free individual tutoring in many areas such as language arts, and mathematics. When Maris is ready, she can start attending free classes at Redemption Technology in Social Awareness, First Impressions, Customer Service, Computer literacy, Microsoft Office Software, Sales, and other skills that local employers have expressed are essential for their job candidates. Once Maria finishes her courses, Redemption Technology helps her by advocating on her behalf with local employers to find her the best possible fit for a career. We serve as a reference for individuals such as Maria, to allow them to get a foot in the door for jobs that given their background, they may not have access to.

Redemption Technology follows this up with what we call post-employment care, like a support group, to assist individuals like Maria in dealing with the stresses of starting a new job and handling the day to day stress that comes with any life change or transition.

I don’t have to tell you this is something we as a society need, to help people make it in the new service economy.

Our Need

This organization was founded by idealistic computer programing and networking students from the local technical college who saw the need in our community and wanted to help. We are all working class individuals, college students and volunteers and can not keep moving our mission forward without your help.

Our volunteers are paying the utilities, rent, insurance and any other expenses for the organization. None of us are wealthy and with our personal limited budgets we limited in our ability to help the people who really need our help.

Your gift helps us buy computers, software, office supplies, training resources and much more to provide the best training for individuals in need of our services.

It will also help to keep our doors open by paying our utilities and rent which will allow our volunteers to focus on helping the cause, teaching and making a positive difference. If we make or exceed our goal we could even expand how many and what type of classes and training we offer to the community and assist with the growing job training needs of our area.
