Red Panda Network is committed to the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat through the education and empowerment of local communities.
The red panda and its habitat are endangered due to conversion of forest to farms, firewood, and overgrazed pastures. We create innovative alternatives that increase the survival probability of red panda.
We provide long-term results from the bottom up by training and hiring local forest guardians for monitoring and awareness generation, and by enabling communities to create their own revenue stream through for-profit ventures.
Our approach fosters community ownership in the organization and its wildlife conservation mission, which is the key to sustainability and success.
