BENEFITING: ATLANTIC CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP LTD

Nature created something quite unique when she placed the picturesque islands of Bermuda in the fringe of the Sargasso Sea entirely secluded from any neighbouring island or continent. We have no mountains to climb or vast open spaces to hike. The ocean is our backyard wilderness and there is no fee to enjoy it. Bermuda’s Coral Reefs are priceless and provide economic benefits worth $1.1 billion every year, just through protecting the coast from storms and hurricanes, supporting the tourism industry, commercial and recreational fisheries, and contributing substantially to a quality of life envied worldwide. Bermuda’s coral reef ecosystem is the most northerly in the Atlantic Ocean and an important example of reefs near their climatic limits. In a world where climate is changing and the seas are warming Bermuda holds hope for the future that coral reefs will survive. “The oceans deserve our respect and care, but you have to know something before you can care about it.” – Sylvia Earle We are proud to support Reef Watch and do our small part as citizen scientists to observe and record the health of our reefs. Please do you small part and donate towards our team effort. Every single penny raised goes directly to reef conservation in Bermuda.
